Try Exhaustion

Try Exhaustion
There’s something to be said for the positive effects that exhaustion can have on the mind (and body of course).
Do you dislike your reality? Because it happens, and has happened to me in the not-so-distant past.  At the time, I chose to escape reality through the use of alcohol.  I didn’t drink because I needed to, I drank because I wanted to — I didn’t like myself nor my reality so I chose to alter my brain and not think of these things.  Others might choose drugs, etc.  No judgement, but I can now offer a new (much safer) suggestion.  Physical exhaustion.
It’s my new mind-calming / changing agent, and it works better than the rest.  The next time you’re stressed, worried, anxious, or need an escape — try some intense physical exertion and see what it does to your mind afterwards.   If you’re anything like me, your mind will be too tired to think about anything else other than the accomplishment of surviving the physical activity and will be clear of the ‘noise’ of anxious thoughts.
Fitness is great, looking good is a plus, but the real reward is the peaceful mind that results from intense physical exercise.
