I believe wholeheartedly the power of habitual daily action. It’s all about the buildup of small ‘wins’ over time. I originally started with just ONE of these things, focused on it until it became habit, then focused on adding another — and another and another. It’s been several years now, and so my list has grown. Your list might only have on or two things on it and that’s totally fine– It’s awesome you have any kind of list. It doesn’t matter how many daily disciplines you have or how insignificant they may seem, what matters is the consistency.
-gratitude (at least 3 things)
-three ‘things to thrive’ (BIG goals)
-gallon of water
-reading (at least 15 pages)
-whoop strain at least 10.0+
-cold showers
-cardio (at least 2+ miles)
-writing
-meditation
How long do I plan on doing these things? Until there’s no air in my lungs. There is no end date, I don’t want any more ups-and-downs, and I refuse to let my baseline fall.
If it helps, use a calendar and “X” out each day you complete the daily habit you’re working on. If you’re anything like me, you won’t allow for any gaps in your X’s and you’ll make real progress towards your goals one day at a time!!

FOLLOW – UP:
It’s been a week or so since I published this blog and since then it has occurred to me that although I have done my best to add and maintain the things I mentioned above, I have simultaneously attempted to limit or completely REMOVE the following from my daily routine:
-Caffeine
-Sugar
-Alcohol
-Video Games
-Social media
-Television
To quote one of my favorite thinkers, Naval Ravikant, he has also removed things “That give me short term pleasure over long term fulfillment. These things de-stabilize our mood. When our mood is not stable, we make erratic decisions, do erratic things. We might not notice the impacts on a daily basis, but compounded over time, these things have a dramatic effect on our lives.”
So, in the same way the good habits compound over time, these de-stabilizing habits can be just as powerful in the opposite direction. How do we become successful? By NOT taking steps back!
