I have found myself rationalizing ‘the easy way out’ lately. It’s when the little voice inside your head says things like, “no, there’s so many reasons why you should think twice and NOT get into this cold shower in November.” Or, “running another 4 miles would really put a lot of strain on your knees.”
I think and think and think all day long, and when it comes to managing my business, this little voice usually suits me well — by quickly helping me evaluate the countless decisions I make in a single day, however, I should know when to stop thinking and start moving.
Hopping into a cold shower should be something I DO, not sit there ruminating about. Running and getting in my ‘daily mileage’ should be something I JUST DO, not evaluate to pieces.
It’s like throwing a baseball, you can’t think about it, you have to just let it go! When you find that you’re thinking too much, it’s because you probably are — so stop and go take action!
